What is a delisted cryptocurrency?

Delisted cryptocurrency refer to cryptocurrencies that are no longer supported on the OKX platform. Users will not be able to trade these cryptocurrencies on OKX. However, the balances of delisted cryptocurrencies in your account will still be retained. After a cryptocurrency is delisted, you can withdraw it to your wallet or to another platform that supports that cryptocurrency.

Reason for delisting: To maintain a healthy cryptocurrency environment and optimize project liquidity, OKX continuously monitors listed cryptocurrency, trading pairs, and futures. Based on market performance, user feedback, and potential risks, OKX may delist certain cryptocurrency, trading pairs, or contracts.

What are untradable assets?

Untradable assets are cryptocurrencies that OKX does not support and cannot be traded on the platform. They typically include:

  1. Cryptocurrencies not supported by OKX: While OKX supports over 300 cryptocurrencies, some cryptocurrencies are still not supported. If you are unsure whether a crypto can be deposited, consult OKX customer support before depositing to avoid being unable to trade or withdraw.

  2. Cryptocurrencies sent through unsupported networks: Some cryptocurrencies exist on multiple networks, but OKX only supports specific networks. Depositing via an unsupported network will make the assets non-tradable on OKX. Always verify that the network you are using is supported.

  3. Certain airdropped cryptocurrencies: Cryptocurrencies not yet open for trading are classified as non-tradable, and you cannot trade them on OKX.

  4. Delisted or soon-to-be delisted cryptocurrencies: Users can withdraw these cryptocurrencies to other platforms, but deposits to OKX are no longer possible. For more details, see Announcements > Delistings.

What is asset consolidation?

When a cryptocurrency is delisted or no longer supported, OKX consolidates it as a non-tradable asset. During consolidation, some cryptocurrencies may temporarily not be displayed or withdrawals may be unavailable. This is normal, and your assets will not be lost.

Once asset consolidation is completed, the cryptocurrency will appear under Assets > Funding > Untradable assets, where you can view your balance. You can also withdraw the assets to another platform that supports the cryptocurrency once the withdrawal channel is open.
