the current layer-1 market has tens of millions of dollars in emissions that go into the market everyday whether it’s from stakers who sell validator rewards like in $TIA, $SOL, or $ETH or from miners who sell to cover opex like in $BTC, $LTC, or $ZEC historically, this has been one of the more valid reasons for creating a layer-2. by relying on layer-1 security you can essentially run a layer-2 network without massive emissions for security (although many layer-2s have tokenomics with emissions not tied to network operations at all) SOAP on $QUAI completely changes the economics of layer-1s by utilizing proof of work to match all of the miner sell pressure with equal buy pressure WHILE also increasing the security of Quai Network and PoW other chains SOAP creates a fundamental virtuous cycle of positive growth while retaining the values of proof of work (censorship resistance, energy based money, low capital requirements, etc) mining flywheel soon
