Momentum DEX: The Engine Behind MMT Finance’s Rise After days of tracking the numbers and patterns, I finally wrapped up a comprehensive dashboard covering Momentum DEX, and the findings are impressive. For context, Momentum DEX is just one piece of a much larger puzzle within the @MMTFinance ecosystem. Yet, it’s quickly becoming one of the strongest pillars of their growth story. Let’s walk through what the data reveals. 1. TVL Growth Since MMT launched in March, its TVL has maintained a steady climb, recording a 3x jump by October 8th. A big reason behind this growth has been the series of community-driven campaigns that have kept user engagement high and liquidity flowing in. 2. Fees and Revenue Q3 turned out to be one of the strongest quarters for Momentum. Fees grew by 2x, with a fees-to-revenue ratio of 5.02. Out of the total fees generated, 20% goes to the MMT treasury as revenue, while the rest is distributed among veMMT holders (now redirected to LPs). This structure has created a healthy balance between protocol sustainability and user incentives. 3. Trading Volume Momentum’s trading volume started to explode toward the end of September, hitting 3x the previous month’s numbers in October. At this pace, it’s on track to cross $10 billion in monthly volume. But for me, volume isn't much of a big metrics unless it attracts revenue which gave rise to a metrics I termed volume-to-fees ratio. Compared to top DEX like @Uniswap, Momentum earn 7.3x less fees per dollar wile with @bluefinapp it earns 2.5x less. 4. Comperative Analysis Across the broader DEX landscape, Momentum ranks among the top 10 by TVL, and within the Sui ecosystem, it’s sitting comfortably in the top 3. What’s even more striking is its competition. Momentum has overtaken @CetusProtocol and @bluefinapp in both volume and fees. In fact, last week marked the first time it flipped @suilendprotocol in fees and revenue—a clear sign of growing dominance. 5. Ecosystem Mindshare Momentum DEX now commands over 50% of Sui’s DEX mindshare, holding more than 3x the TVL of the next major competitor. At this point, its safe to say Momentum isn’t just participating in the ecosystem, its boostrapping Sui's inflection point. But I have some personal thoughts... Momentum DEX may be only one component of @MMTFinance, but it’s proving to be the core engine driving much of the ecosystem’s traction. While campaigns have fueled the current TVL growth, the next phase leading up to TGE will need to focus on sustained user adoption and deeper integration across MMT’s suite. Another interesting observation is that $xSUI now ranks 4th in the Sui LST sector with $16 million TVL, around 14.8x smaller than Suilend. For me this should be the next product they dhould drive campaigns behind to boost TVL. The complete article with charts and visuals drops next week. Stay tuned.
