Looking deeply into events of yesterday whole morning with our team. Seeing how in single oracle update assets were repriced by 30% - 60% (making liquidations unprofitable in that specific moment) makes me think that maybe we as an industry should think about learning from Tradfi where it makes sense and consider similar circuit breakers like (short) pause of trading if price went down too quickly (eg like in tradfi for 15 mins if price went lower than 7%-13%-20%).
Or discount more price feeds from CEXs plugged into DeFi as liquidity there is hard to verify and unreliable in case when market makers are pulling out orders. Not just @aave and its users could be damaged heavily today if not destroyed if they didnât use fair price of @ethena_labs USDe but âmarketâ price instead which got to somewhere around 60c for a while.
