📍The non-USD stablecoin wave 📌 In the first half of 2025, there are up to 23 non-USD stablecoins recording over 20,000 transactions each week, peaking at more than 60,000 transactions. This number is still small compared to USDT and USDC, but it is enough to show that a new flow is forming. 📌 Latin America is leading the trend, accounting for 55% of the total global non-USD stablecoin volume, surpassing both Southeast Asia and Africa combined. Among them, Brazil is the main driver, turning local currency stablecoins into more practical payment and remittance tools rather than speculative assets. Brazil is one of the four countries that founded BRIC; if Russia and China also follow this trend, the number of new stablecoins (non-USD) will not stop at 60,000 transactions per day. 📌 Polygon has become the focal point of this trend, hosting about 70% of non-USD stablecoin activity, with over 4,000 active wallets each week.
