Lately I’ve been watching @pendle_fi quietly becoming one of DeFi’s smarter buildings but almost no one’s talking about its real engine: Pulse.
I mean, sure everyone cites TVL, volume, token price. But Pulse is the AI layer that makes Pendle feel alive.
Here’s the story from my side:
When I first dug into Pendle, I saw a protocol splitting yield into tradable parts (PT / YT) so users can fix returns or bet on upside. But that’s still manual, requires chasing expirations and hopping between markets.
Pulse changes that. It’s built (in partnership with Giza) as an autonomous agent tracking your PT positions, rebalancing, migrating between markets, and compounding yield 24/7 all without you lifting a finger.
They launched it first on ETH-PT with ~13% APR markets, and its initial $3M capacity sold out in hours.
What I found that few are talking about:
✦Pulse isn’t just for yield it prepares Pendle for institutional yield infrastructure (auto-debt, hedging, rate derivatives).
✦Pendle is pushing cross-chain: expansion plans into non-EVMs, and agentic yield frameworks (e.g. Symphony) letting devs build custom strategies.
✦ In a subtle exploit attempt, Pendle confirmed the protocol was never compromised only a user wallet was impacted by PT / YT minting.
